15 New Testament Words for Life with Nijay Gupta
Righteousness, Gospel, Forgiveness, Life, Cross, Faith, Grace, Fellowship, Hope, Salvation, Peace, Religion, Holiness, Love, and Witness
These are familiar terms in the Christian vocabulary, but many don’t know the original background and theological importance of these words, and how they can be life-giving for the Christian faith and life today. To access the deep meaning of these words in the theological vocabulary of the New Testament writers, Nijay Gupta has written a helpful new book thinking through the canonical, literary, and historical contexts of these words. I enjoyed this conversation Nijay!
Nijay K. Gupta (PhD, University of Durham) is professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary. He is the author of several academic books including 1-2 Thessalonians (Zondervan Critical Introduction to the New Testament), Paul and the Language of Faith, A Beginner's Guide to New Testament Studies and has published commentaries on Colossians, Philippians, and Galatians. He is co-editor of The State of New Testament Studies and the planned second edition of the Dictionary of Paul and His Letters.

Rich Mullins’ Music, Life, and Legacy with James Bryan Smith
After Rich Mullins was a famous CCM musician, he decided to go back to college so he could be better equipped to serve on a Native American reservation. While in school he moved in with Jim Smith’s family. After Mullins’ tragic death in 1997, the Mullins family asked Smith to write a biography of his life. Smith produced this touching devotional biography, An Arrow Pointing to Heaven. Rich Mullins’ music had a deep impact on me. I think you will enjoy this conversation with Jim Smith.

United Methodist Bishop Joins Global Methodists with Scott Jones
Bishop Scott Jones is one of the first episcopal leaders to transfer from the United Methodist Church to the Global Methodist Church. As the Global Methodist Church emerges there are many questions about why and how it will function. Scott Jones’ experience as a pastor, Wesley scholar, and leader is a refreshing perspective for this fledgling denomination.

REVIVAL AT ASBURY - Diane Ury and Charity Johnson (Part 4)
The work of King Jesus in Wilmore, KY is an answer to prayer. With hundreds of friends and family impacted by this awakening at Asbury, I had a couple of conversations with people there. Here are a few links to those testimonies of God’s work.

Great resource for the pan-Wesleyan community
Diverse topics, serious questions, humility and grace. Thankful for Andy having these (mostly) conversations, esp. keeping leaders abreast of current concerns in the Wesleyan and adjacent traditions.
Relevance for Today
The topics and conversations are helpful for followers of Jesus as we navigate an ever more hostile culture to Biblical truths and living.
Ex-UMC pastor finds revival in a podcast
I am so very thankful for finding Andy Miller and his podcast “More to the Story”. My church and I recently left the UMC denomination. I was feeling unconnected by being a non denominational pastor but have been inspired by Andy and these podcasts to take the Wesley Institute class series online. It has caused me spiritual joy and growth I feel. Also, I am thankful for their work on keeping people informed on the happenings of UMC dissafilliation procedure. We, as a church had to find a lot out for ourselves. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to grow and stay informed. God bless!!!
