I left my faith because I was so disturbed by evangelical loyalty to Trump. I couldn’t believe that people with the Holy Spirit indwelling them would destroy their witness for the dumbest golden calf ever. It was a cataclysmic event in my life that I will doubtless continue to struggle with for years. This podcast has helped me know that I am not alone. Thank you!

Unify. That’s how you win a party, a race, a nation. Unify. Trump unified lies with just enough truth to make them sound true. But the losing platform is standing on issues non-political & divisive such as the genocide comment & abortion & transgender rights. I assure you those are not decided down party line on either side so rather than telling people how to think or making such issues your focus, find common ground & unify. Be the leader in this. Remember you are not only reaching out to dems but also to republicans whom feel lost without a place to land. And run someone winnable. Sadly, this once progressive nation is sliding backwards & is no where near ready to elect a woman to the presidency. Had VP Harris have been a man, she would have won hands down. So start with less controversy & more equal ground & with the winnable. You need a strong house & senate as well as president to tackle other such issues & be prepared to listen because not all on your platform agree with you. Solidify the party & bring in those from the outside the party seeking a place to land. Listen to others & realize it is not about issues nor your stance on them. It’s about integrity & character & the ability to endure & persevere. I’ve only heard two of your podcasts. You questioned how they ran a better PR campaign. There’s your answer. Don’t give up. Just humble yourself, listen to others, & be willing to compromise on both sides because America is both sides. Too many felt too much was being forced on them & so their vote was lost. Don’t assume people are logical in making decisions of morality. They just proved they aren’t. Now gather your peers and give thought to all I just said. Unify & get people to invest, not just financially but their time, their energy, their being. Unify, invest, run someone currently winnable & go win it next time. And never let anyone bully a sitting President whom Americans put in office, into not running because of media presentation or anything else. That is major overstepping of the American people & they don’t play politics that way.

I tried to hear the episode with Sarah McCammon as my debut to this podcast but it wasn’t listenable- it skipped throughout like an old cd and I couldn’t decipher it. I’m soooo bummed. Can someone fix this please? Or maybe it was just me? I know I will love this podcast but seriously this is a big disappointment.

This has been a big help listening to this and being able to know you aren’t alone in your journey. Blake brings in good speakers and stories. That being said, Blake is also not a journalist so it can sometimes be a tough listen with a lot of repeating and filler words.
