Key Brooklyn Nets summer: Nic Claxton price tag, Cam Thomas extension and Dorian Finney-Smith trades
Michael Scotto from HoopsHype raises the Nic Claxton contract ceiling to $25m, which gives Adam real pause. While Claxton might. not be worth that amount, having his talent and contract on the books can serve the Nets well in the short and long term.
Adam highlights the rumored suitors on the market and how even a sign and trade could be a viable option for Sean Marks.
With a footnote on Day'ron Sharpe projections, Adam dials in on an Spirts Illustrated article that projects extension eligible contracts which includes Cam Thomas. With a possible $20m/year contract looming, waiting out the Ben Simmons money would give Brooklyn the ability to explore all options around Cam Thomas and the teams young core.
Closing out, Adam looks at a Memphis Grizzlies trade package that at least starts the conversation of Sean Marks to gget back into the 2024 Draft, where Carlton Carington has caught Adam's eye.

Terrific Podcast!
Definitely a must listen for any Nets fan. Doug and Adam are knowledgeable and work well together. It’s a good listen even in the NBA offseason. Great as preparation for the upcoming season.
Too conservative with their opinions
So, while I believe both Doug & Adam are very intelligent individuals and typically have good basketball opinions, they are too similar and don’t really provide much pushback on each other. Both feel almost too careful with their words and it often results in a lack of passion towards the state of this organization. I watch other Locked On podcasts and I can feel that other hosts really care about their teams, whereas with Locked on Nets it feels there is a form of coddling regarding the front office and coaching staff when it comes to the current state of the Nets
