Babes, welcome to No Deep Dives, where we journey through life’s biggest (and smallest) questions with just enough depth to inspire—without the analysis paralysis. I’m Flex, best-selling author and decade-long internet thinker, here to unpack the things we all wonder about but don’t always have answers for. This is where intuition meets intention, blending philosophy, psychology, astrology, self-discovery, and those cosmic nudges that help you decode the art of living mindfully. For ruminators, seekers, and anyone ready to embrace life’s synchronicities, this podcast won’t solve everything—but it’ll help you see the magic in each moment. Think of it as your personal GPS for navigating life’s twists with purpose.

your timeline is fake (but so is everyone else’s)

WARP SPEED! HYPERREALITY! WE’RE SLOWING DOWN TO SPEED UP!!!! A stroll near my home in nipaluna turns into a much needed debrief about time (yes, time), cultural identity, and Baudrillard’s whole thing about simulacra. As a beautiful-sweet-boss-baby-princess-daughter of an immigrant who’s been in Australia for FOURTY YEARS, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to keep your culture alive in a world that’s obsessed with stuff. Throw in Western ideas of time being all straight lines and clocks, compared to the Aboriginal Australian understanding of time as a CYCLE (everything, everywhere, all at once!) and suddenly I’m in philosopher mode. If you’ve ever felt like you’re juggling a million versions of yourself—or just trying to make sense of it all—this one’s for you. It’s called No Deep Dives, but, uh… we might’ve gotten a little deep. If you like seeing me inject more personal musings, or perhaps you want to learn more about astrology, esotericism, metaphysics and witchcraft, find me on Patreon @moreflexmami You can also watch this episode on YouTube!!!   Timestamps 00:00 is this … a guided meditation? 02:46 (simulacra) do you even know what’s real anymore. 10.38 role playing culture 24:59 time is not linear 43:23 I’m off to get hypnotised, bye!   Resources/Links SIMULARA DISSECTING AUSTRALIA'S BIRTH CHART Editing Flex Note: If you came here looking for the video I referenced about Australia having no culture so the immigrants are lost … I’ve lost the link! dump your inner loser (shame spiral)

The time has come to take my 45th consecutive leap of faith. Reminding myself that every waking moment is more time to recommit to the version of life I want to be living. Which is audacious at the minimum. After some serious debriefs with my fear and anxiety, I’ve decided to record a video podcast episode. While this may not seem like a big deal to you, it’s huge to me. My life is a movie, and it’s strange not to be documenting it as such. Talking about the irony (and shame spiralling) of finding out from the internet that being my regular self is perceived as being taboo, controversial and hectic. AND WHAT IT FEELS AND FELT LIKE TO LIVE WITH THAT BURDEN.  With upcoming travels to Morocco, Ghana, and Mexico on the horizon, I’m sharing my thoughts on being brave, making intentional choices, and embracing the freedom to express yourself in any environment. I’m chatting astrology AND more specifically the birth chart of this baby of mine, No Deep Dives (yes, you can cast a birth chart for a business, so why wouldn’t I)🌟   If you’re interested in learning more about astrology and interpreting your own chart, join my Patreon @moreflexmami You can now watch this episode on YouTube!!!   Timestamps 00:00 I’m getting tingles 00:44 see me in 2D ie. people pleasing has mutated in a big way

I don’t know if you can ever really prepare for a significant perspective shift in a way that self-indulgent self development  makes it feel. The whole time you’re working towards being better, remembering what it’s like to be in a body you’ve never left.  I love when an online scroll bears fruit. I saw a video from a TikTok creator called Beyond Codependant who shares their matrix of people pleasing. WHICH INVOLVES MORE ARCHETYPES OF PEOPLE PLEASERS. SO COOL.  There’s the people manager, the caretaker, the matcher, and of course, the classic people pleaser. In exploring how these roles show up in relationships, it’s reminding me why it’s important to get to know your faves deeply. Not scripting through the relationship. And because you know I love it, I also tie it all into astrology — especially the 11th house — to explain how your sign and modality can influence your social dynamics.  In the spirit of sharing, I’ll also open up about my own experiences with setting boundaries, managing relationships, and the power of being self-aware. It’s like a cosmic roadmap to healthier connections, with a little DIY fashion inspiration thrown in. ✨💫  Listen immediately and tell your friends to tell a friend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re interested in learning more about astrology and interpreting your own chart, join my Patreon @moreflexmami   Timestamps 00:00 mexico flex speaking 00:46 four types of pleaser 01:54 why do you have boundaries 06:39 zodiac vs. society 18:01 the pleaser’s dilemma 32:44 exercise the fast fashion demons 35:19 miss you dearly

clock into your internal world please

Ok, hold on tight because in this episode we’re getting intimate with this sometimes strange concept of ‘doing the work’! Examining through various lenses including philosophy, personal growth & astrology (naturally).    Posing the question - how profound can our daily routines and disciplined efforts be in our lives? We’re getting juicy as we delve into philosophies like Carl Jung’s shadow work, Brene Brown and more!   Dipping into vibes of the Sixth and Tenth Houses in astrology we reflect on how these houses are all about mastering yourself, giving back, and shining in the public eye. We’ll chat about how to juggle your everyday tasks while staying true to your bigger goals, shake off old biases, and break free from what society expects. It’s all about boosting self-awareness and making real, meaningful changes in your life! unpaid interning in my mental prison

I love being a statistic. Mindfulness and routines are actually working for me. As in, I don’t wake up with a pit in my chestgood  and a looming sense of Iike that later is validated by the horror’s on my timeline.  Who knew that structure can equal freedom, they should teach us this in school , or maybe they did & I wasn’t listening! I’m chatting about some of the things that make up my regular routines, yoga, massages, and morning pages. I’ll break down the sticky, tricky world of discipline and how those vexatious thought loops can hold us back. I’ll also share some thoughts on why traditional talk therapy might not tackle the bigger picture. With a sprinkle of wisdom from the Gita and my counselling studies, I’ll talk about syncing your values with your actions, consciously uncoupling from overthinking, and making choices that help you grow. As always, astrology is linked to EVERYTHING so you can hear all about how the sixth house connects to this discussion. This episode really has it all, listen immediately!
