Episode 37: Grief Reimagined

In this episode I talk again with fellow motherless daughter and “ambassador for grief” Barri Leiner Grant about her new endeavor, The Memory Circle, which our last podcast together inspired her to create! She helps others explore loss, death, and grief and believes it’s time for our society to change the vernacular around loss. Barri’s Instagram (and real life events in Chicago) offer a space for people to safely share their stories, instead of merely “getting over it.” We also talk about the gifts we’ve received from our own mothers, parenting our kids, and letting go as an aspect of parenting. Barri also shares her pioneering ideas for creating an “ethical will.”
