The two tap on conventional wisdom with discussions on the myths of working smarter versus harder and debunk the idea that you can get paid for being lazy. The conversations also cover various topics such as the impact of what we consume online, the dynamics of the workplace, and the often misunderstood concept of toxic positivity. Codie Sanchez is the founder and CEO of Contrarian Thinking, a digital media company, and Contrarian Thinking Capital, a small business holding company that is focused on bringing Main Street businesses back to the limelight.
Codie Sanchez is the Founder and CEO of Contrarian Thinking, one of the fastest growing financial media businesses with 6 million followers and 100 million monthly views. She is also the Founder of Contrarian Thinking Capital, a venture capital firm, and Main Street Holding Company with 25+ small or, what we call, “boring businesses.” Think car washes, laundromats, property management companies etc. She is a former partner at one of the largest cannabis investment firms, where she invested in 65+ companies. Her specialty is in the roll-up, turnaround and add-on space. She built First Trust’s $1 billion+ AUM Latin America business and held leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, State Street, and Vanguard.

Yaassyas ,

Love this

Love the show! It’s my favourite thing to listen to when I am driving

millenialmentalhealththerapist ,

Interviewing is not the best

She has amazing guests on the show and seems like a very sweet person. However, the interviews tend to turn around to be about her instead of allowing the focus to be on the guest. Also, a lot of the questions asked are done so by also providing two options as answers and I don’t think she’s realizing she’s doing this. It would be nice to just allow the guest to answer on their own

StatenIslandgirl ,

Could listen to Valeria or watch all day

First watched with Morgan Stewart and was taken. Now I have watched or listened to several and I think Valeria is great at this and has such a great style.
