This podcast is NOT for Most People. The podcast IS for those allergic to mediocrity, groupthink, and conventional wisdom. It IS for those who strive to think, act, and therefore live in a way that most people never will. Do you shudder at the idea of settling or living an "average" life? Do you refuse to blindly follow or simply blend in with the crowd? Do you feel like you just think differently from most people that you know? And Have you ever wondered why 'most people' are not particularly happy, healthy, wealthy, or in great relationships? Or why more people than ever are overweight, overmedicated, broke, divorced, or unfulfilled? Host Bradley Roth has always wondered these things. And he has always found that the majority of successful people in any area of life tend to question, resist, and in most cases go directly against the standard path that most people tend to follow. They think, act, and therefore live differently than most. It's often those outliers, non-conformists, rebels-with-a-cause, and exceptions-to-the-rule who live the lives most people wish they had. It's those winners, standouts, and thought-leaders that are here to share their uncommon knowledge and unconventional wisdom. Tune in as we uncover the counter-intuitive truths and secrets of success that you likely never learned in school, on tv, or even from your parents - all while debunking traditional wisdom and challenging the popular advice that has led to an epidemic of mediocrity, dissatisfaction, and stagnation. This is where we dive into exactly how challenging the status quo, thinking outside the box, and following the road less traveled leads to extraordinary health, wealth, and happiness that all people CAN achieve (but most never will). This is where we separate the ordinary and the extraordinary. This is NOT Most People

The Vagabond Life: Deviating From The Norm, Shaking Up Your Routine, And Living A Life Of Adventure Through Travel with Rolf Potts - 088

In this episode, I'm joined by Rolf Potts. Rolf has reported from more than sixty countries for the likes of National Geographic Traveler, Outside, the New York Times Magazine, NPR, and the Travel Channel.

His adventures have taken him across six continents, and include adventures such as piloting a fishing boat 900 miles down the Laotian Mekong, hitchhiking across Eastern Europe, traversing Israel on foot, bicycling across Burma, driving a Land Rover across South America and traveling around the world for six weeks with no luggage or bags of any kind.
Potts is perhaps best known for promoting the ethic of independent travel, and his newest book, The Vagabond’s Way: 366 Meditations on Wanderlust, Discovery, and the Art of Travel, was published this past October of 2022. His bestselling debut book, Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel has been through thirty-seven printings and translated into several languages worldwide.

This was personally one of my favorite and most surreal episodes as a host because Rolf's first book Vagabonding was one that shifted my outlook and changed my life for the better.

    Inside The Episode:

Setting World Records And Living An Extraordinary Life At 89 Years Old with Anne Lorimor -086

Setting World Records And Living An Extraordinary Life At 89 Years Old with Anne Lorimor -086

In this episode, I'm joined by Anne Lorimor, one of the most impressive and genuine people I've ever met. She is a Guinness World Record Holder, keynote speaker, and philanthropist.

Anne was born at the beginning of the great depression as the oldest of 10 children. Despite growing up poor, she went on to earn a B.A. in Journalism, B.S. in Nursing, R.N., M.S. in counseling, M.S. in health education, and Ph.D. in mass communications.
Then in the early 80's she was diagnosed with lymphoma. She managed to beat it.
And then in 2015 at 85 she summited Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest peak in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world) to become the oldest person to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. But then someone beat her record so she decided she had to take it back and climbed it again at the age of 89. It took her 9 days to reach the top (with 3 broken ribs).
Her motivation was raising money for her nonprofit foundation Creating Exciting Futures which seeks to help give every child the chance to reach their full potential.
In addition to that, she recently climbed Machu Pichu and she has traveled to over 100 countries.

    Inside The Episode:
How Anne beat cancer in an unconventional wayWhy you shouldn't ignore cliche sayingsHow Anne managed to climb Kilimanjaro (twice) in her late 80'sHow living and traveling overseas will change your lifeWhy you're truly never to old or young to accomplish your goalsSimple principles to stay happy and healthy no matter your ageHow to walk the fine line between calculated risk and recklessnessThe difference between a hand up and hand out

JoshDho ,

One of the best podcasts out there right now

This podcast is not for everyone, but for those who are looking to take their life to the next level and who think differently than the average person it’s one of the best shows out there! This has become my go-to podcast every week.

Great variety of guests and topics while still keeping it on point, thought provoking, and relatively unknown compared to it’s quality. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

TateReality ,

So much Value!

Incredible podcast with inspiring people! Lots of value being put into each and every episode. Love to hear other people’s perspective on life and how they have navigated to themselves to get where they are right now and how they plan to get to the next level they so desire.

BrittneyH1999 ,

NOT most people!

Bradley conveys constructive messages with clarity and coherence. He always displays a great deal of consideration for others. I mean…we’re here because we are NOT most people. I am truly inspired by how concrete his ideas are. In turn, this makes them tangible and enhances credibility. Grateful to be apart of this community!
