Ep. 64 - England: The Murder of Naomi Hersi and The Death of Shukri Abdi

Hello and welcome back our Brackies! We've missed you.

We're staying in ENGLAND this week while we take a breath, gather ourselves and reset the pod in these apocalyptic times.

Kate is first up this week with the devastating murder of Naomi Hersi; a beloved trans woman whose death reignited outrage at problematic reporting of trans women in the media, especially trans women of colour.

George then takes us through the recent incredibly upsetting death of twelve year old Shukri Abdi; the suspicious circumstances surrounding her final moments and the total lack of care and consideration shown to her family throughout.

This week we begin including charities/funds connected to our cases that we will be donating to. The links are highlighted just below if you would like to and are in a position to donate too.

    Thank you Paturders!

This podcast has the camaraderie of MFM and the research of Redhanded. These ladies are hilarious and work off each other so well that it’s a joy to listen to. I love having more invisible friends in my ear holes. Edited: I am now out of available episodes. This makes me sad and yet hopeful for future episodes.

10 Minutes Before “Show” Starts

I want to love this podcast because the hosts are actually awesome and have creative crime cases to discuss.....but it’s literally 8-15 minutes of banter before the show actually STARTS! Every time. 😩

😔😖 Can we just get to the show ladies? I love your podcast but PLEASE for the life of the show cut beginning banter to 2-3 minutes tops!

Waiting 8-10 minutes before you even start the crime episode is just excruciating.

Love You Ladies!

Listening to you from Raleigh NC on the recommendation of Erin from ‘All Crime No Cattle’ and you do not disappoint!! I’m often drinking my wine along with you as I listen, imagining We are all friends lol. I’m an obsessive true crime listener and love that you cover worldwide cases that I have not heard before. Keep it up!
