    To achieve a healthy pregnancy, you have to begin by being a healthy person. My feeling is the need to treat the person holistically. Holistic doesn’t really have anything to do with alternative medicine, looking at how all of the systems are working together.

    One of the more useful concepts that Daoism uses is that everything is holographic. This is why Chinese medicine uses a lot of metaphors and also how diagnostic techniques evolved. Coincidentally, t​his ancient view of the universe is gaining in popularity in modern times.

    If you have ever tried to grow something in a garden you know that the first thing you need is a seed. And for a seed to be successful it has to have been created well and morphologically sound, otherwise no matter how enticing you make the soil or the environment, nothing is going to grow. If the seed is good, next you need to make sure the soil is fertile. So we look at what factors make good soil, is there enough water?, does it have the right nutrients?, is the pH right?

    Yin and Yang are reflected both in the body, and in nature. It’s one through line from the cosmic (macrocosm-in nature) to the molecular (microcosm in body.)

    If energy is not circulated well, it gets gathers and becomes blocked and stagnant in the upper part of your body creating an imbalance between the upper and lower body. 

    This practice is aimed to activate pelvic blood flow in the lower part of your body, while calming and relaxing down the energies in the upper part of the body. 

    These poses which I developed to help women heal, expands the traditional actions of yoga poses to activate the energetics of the acupuncture meridian system. This system of Dao Flow Yoga optimizes the whole endocrine system and glands using 4 major techniques. Movement, Breath, Visualization, and Sound. 

    Please enjoy this practice, and feel wellness begin to emerge as a result of bringing yourself to the mat and beyond to use in your day-to-day life, to keep yourself in balance with heaven and earth.
