Nuclear Bombs, Clowns, and Body Swapping on This Week's Episode of Whatcha' Watchin'

In this week's episode of Whatcha' Watchin' presented by Geeky a Go Go, hosts Nitro and AP dive into a rather eclectic mix of movies and shows. From the serious topic of nuclear war to the terrifying world of Art the Clown, there's something for everyone in this episode. And if that's not enough, they also discuss a mind-bending film about a group of friends who swap bodies at a pre-wedding party. So grab your snacks and dive into our queues. 

Nuclear War and Its Aftermath

Nitro starts the episode with a review of the Netflix series Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War. This multi-part series delves into the history of nuclear weapons, from their development in the 1940s to their continued impact on global politics today. Nitro found the series to be informative and well-made. However, he does note that it may be somewhat biased towards the Western perspective. 

The Terror of Art the Clown

Next, AP takes on the horror film Terrifier. This 2016 slasher film features Art the Clown, a creepy and violent character who has gained a cult following in recent years. AP, who admits to not being a fan of slasher films, found Terrifier, while a bit too gory for his taste, to be so successful that it's led to two sequels, with a third in pre-production. 

A Comedic Travelogue Takes a Nosedive

Nitro then reviews the Netflix comedy series Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father. This travelogue follows comedian Jack Whitehall and his father as they journey across the globe. Nitro enjoyed the series; however, he was less impressed with the show's spinoff, Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood with My Father, which follows Whitehall and his father as they navigate the challenges of parenthood. Nitro found this series to be repetitive and uninspired. Tune in to find out how many disco balls he gave it.

Body Swapping and Existential Nightmares

Finally, AP reviews the Netflix film It's What's Inside. This mind-bending thriller tells the story of friends who gather for a pre-wedding party that takes a dark turn when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game. The game causes the friends to swap bodies, leading to chaotic and hilarious events. AP praises the film's writing, editing, and performances, and you won't believe how many disco balls he gave it! He also notes that the film is surprisingly funny and compares it to a mix of Freaky Friday and The Glass Onion.
