    S/ Dr. Phillip is a first-generation born Indian American and current a fourth-year medical student. Before medical school, she worked full-time as a registered nurse at University Hospital in San Antonio in the medical and transplant intensive care units, alongside cardiothoracic surgery and the cath lab. She talks about her experiences transitioning from different careers, how she came to decide on the DO route, and provides insight about how to stand out as a non-traditional candidate.

    S/ Dr. Loria is a rising fourth-year medical student who graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Philosophy, focusing on medicine and ethics, and a minor in biology. She is a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) and is currently an officer in the US Navy. As an osteopathic student, she is interested in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), with multiple research projects about the utilization of OMM in the preoperative setting. S/ Dr. Loria will be the first physician in her family and is applying for anesthesiology for the 2024 Match. In her episode, she discusses the struggles of navigating these uncertain waters, including the unexpected challenges of the medical school application process, the MCAT, and more.
