ODB: Time Travel, Serial Killers, and Slasher Films-A Review of Totally Killer

ODB: Time Travel, Serial Killers, and Slasher Films-A Review of Totally Killer

Patty and JD review another movie for the month of October. Totally Killer is a horror movie that combines elements of slasher films and time travel. Directed by Nanachka Khan, the film follows the story of Jamie Hughes, a teenager who goes back in time to solve the mystery of a serial killer known as the Sweet 16 killer. Along the way, she encounters her younger, more rebellious mother and other suspects who may be connected to the killings.

The movie brilliantly captures the atmosphere of the 80s with its references to pop culture and fashion. With its blend of campy humor and genuine scares, Totally Killer is an enjoyable watch that will satisfy fans of slasher movies and those looking for a nostalgic trip back to the neon-soaked era of the 80s.

For the entire month of #October we will feature a horror movie in honor of #Halloween.

Brilliant

There are a lot of true crime podcasts out there, but I love that Old Dirty Benches focuses on White Collar crimes. Patty and JD go into depth on some of the most infamous crimes (Madoff, LuLaRoe, Ponzie, etc) and presents it with their own hilarious brand of humor. Their chemistry is undeniable and the episodes are always interesting. I especially love when they break down movies and documentaries (check out the For the Love Leon episodes!) This pod is a gem!

Enjoyable and intriguing podcast covering white collar crimes

I’ve listened to about a half dozen of the episodes so far, and I’m enthralled. The two hosts are fun, funny, and knowledgeable. They have enough focus on the content to keep it informative, and they go on enough tangents to make it interesting. The overall focus of the podcast is a lighthearted look on the impact of white collar crimes. The topic is fascinating as many of these things are overlooked in our society. White collar crimes are extremely impactful, and yet often ignored and prosecuted to a much lesser extent. This is fun, enjoyable, and is worth a listen!
