    One MANS Opinion: Episode 230 – Perspective

    Try not to be turned on too much by Jeff Mans’ raspy voice this week, as a medical issue has him sounding more like Barry White than a geeky fantasy football guy. This week, Jeff is recapping NFL week 10 by breaking down the problems with the Jets, the return of Christian McCaffrey, and the Bears firing coaches already. Despite some DFS NFL cash game struggles this season, Mans had a revelation this week that spurs a much larger conversation about the state of each skill position in fantasy football this season. He goes on to break down the number of QB, RB, WR & TE that normally finish in the top 25, 50 & 100 of scoring and compares that to what is happening this year. The results are surprising but will help us make better decisions moving forward. Mans also gives out his top 10 waiver pickups for the week, which does NOT include a key player he’s had on this list in the last two weeks who had a breakout game in week 10.     One MANS Opinion: Episode 229 – What I Got Wrong (So Far)

    This week, Jeff Mans is fired up and excited to talk about all that he has gotten wrong so far this NFL season. He covers all 32 NFL teams and discusses points that he has gotten wrong about them during the course of the first half of the season. This includes players, coaches, systems, specific games, matchups, player investments, daily fantasy selections, and bets that he missed.     We are at the midway point of the 2024 NFL regular season and Jeff Mans is in auditing mode. This week, Jeff gives a full breakdown of his own personal fantasy football leagues, his DFS winnings (and losings), and his NFL betting record through the first eight weeks. After that, it is time to reveal the top 10 waiver wire pickups of the week, which includes reactions to the Diontae Johnson trade and the injuries to Stefon Diggs and Brian Thomas Jr. This week, Mans also reveals his “Fantasy Football Depth Chart,” which details the top 12 QBs, top 24 RBs, top 36 WRs, and top 12 TEs right now in terms of fantasy value.     One MANS Opinion: Episode 227 – Late Swapping

    Jeff Mans is back for another HUGE episode as he gives out his first NFL power rankings of the 2024 season, mostly just to generate anger amongst the superfans out there. In this episode, Jeff dives into the very important daily fantasy football strategy of late swapping. Last week, Mans needed to make a miraculous late-day pivot in order to win in cash games. So, he goes over what prompted him to make this lineup change and analyzes why it has become necessary to make late swaps almost every week. He provides some very easy-to-follow rules for late swapping and discusses how to properly align your DFS lineups. The entire NFL and fantasy football landscape has changed this week due to the rash of injuries all over the league. Mans discusses the impact of these injuries and how we should adjust our fantasy rosters accordingly.     One MANS Opinion: Episode 226 – Receivers On The Move

    The NFL trade deadline is still a week away, but that didn’t stop two big-time wide receivers from being traded this week. Jeff Mans gives his thoughts on the Jets and Bills' new acquisitions, including the fantasy football value for them and their former and new teammates. Mans gives out his top 40 wide receivers for the rest of the season, too, in order to properly gauge these big trades. Since he reviewed the running back position last week, Jeff dove into the total fantasy points scored by each NFL team's wide receivers through the first six weeks of the season here. There are definitely some surprising results here that you don’t want to miss. Mans also gives a pep talk to those of you who might be struggling specifically with daily fantasy football right now and explains how better results are right around the corner.     His first-ever ladder bet went amazingly well as Jeff Mans said with his chest that Juju Smith-Schuster would become the Chiefs' new Rashee Rice, and that was exactly what happened. Those weren’t the only profits either, as week five proved to be a massive betting week for Mans and the crew at Fantasy Guru dot com. Jeff recaps the week, including his thoughts on the Jets firing of Robert Saleh, the state of the Maimi Dolphins, Kareem Hunt’s breakout, and which wide receivers may be on the move. He also reveals which NFL team backfields have scored the most fantasy points so far this season, including the share of touches and points that have been going to which running back.     As he does every season, Jeff Mans takes some time to review how the first four weeks of the 2024 NFL regular season have gone from a seasonal fantasy football, daily fantasy, and betting perspective. Mans goes through all 16 of his fantasy leagues and gives out his current record in each of them. He discusses which players have been good and bad for these teams and what he expects out of them moving forward. Jeff explains the game theory behind the move and why it can help all of us be better fantasy players in any format. He had takeaways from the Bears, Colts, Panthers, Bills, Seahawks, Packers, Bengals, and Raiders games last week. This leads to an important discussion about how our own personal fandom is often getting in the way of our fantasy, DFS, and betting success. Mans gives a breakdown of how to put your own success ahead of your favorite teams while still supporting the team here. Then Jeff goes over the fantasy point-scoring leaders at QB, RB, WR & TE and declares “fact” or “fiction” for each of the current leaders.
