    John McEnroe

The tennis icon weighs in on the Pickleball craze (spoiler: he is not a fan), recalls the time David Bowie shaded his guitar skills (even after lessons from Eddie Van Halen!) and reflects on his long journey from sports bad boy to good family man — thanks to some help from his wife, rock star Patty Smyth. But don’t worry, Mac still has some of his famous fire! Though he’d be fine never hearing his infamous “You cannot be serious” catchphrase ever again, he explains how his anger made him a better player — until it didn’t.

The ‘Our Way’ gang welcome Skip’s dear friend Gayle King to the show. Together they reminisce about their first meeting in Hartford (where Gayle was the local reporter) and their respective journeys to Hollywood and beyond. The TV icon opens up about how she began her broadcasting career, shares memories from her favorite interviews, and reveals how she kept her cool during her infamous sit-down with a heated R. Kelly. She also recalls the moment her 50+ year friendship with BFF Oprah Winfrey began — and why it involves a snowstorm and some underwear.

The superstar comedian reveals how he writes his material and the simple lesson that led him from from open mic nights to selling out Madison Square Garden. He also opens up about the time he hired his dad to give Robert De Niro acting lessons, the distinct difference between Italians and Sicilians, and  why he wants his son to get the same school punishments that he got as a kid.

Steve Wynn: The Man Who Built Modern Las Vegas (Part Two)

In the second installment of our interview with the Las Vegas visionary, Steve Wynn opens up about how the Broadway musical South Pacific inspired him to take a half-billion-dollar gamble on The Mirage — a hotel that transformed The Strip — and why the first guests to check in were wild animals. He also reveals how an Italian trip with Paul helped inspire him to create the iconic Bellagio — and also looks back on the time he and Skip got epically pranked by the singer while visiting Prince Rainier of Monaco.

Steve Wynn: The Man Who Built Modern Las Vegas (Part One)

Steve Wynn: The Man Who Built Modern Las Vegas (Part One)

Paul and Skip have an intimate chat with the architect of present-day Sin City. Together they reminisce about their days with the Rat Pack and mobsters as the city transformed from a desert outpost to America’s foremost fantasy land. Steve and Paul recall their epic practical joke battle that’s stretched on for decades, and Skip and Steve recall their epic war at the shore with Donald Trump for control of Atlantic City’s casinos. It’s a fascinating tale of Old Vegas and modern development — part history lesson, part business masterclass — so wild that it takes two episodes to tell!

Paul and Skip have a hilarious talk with the longtime Saturday Night Live veteran, who opens up about his hit YouTube series 'Hiking with Kevin,' rumors of a 'Weeds' reunion, and his early years as a little German boy. He also recalls how he won over SNL producer Lorne Michaels for a spot on the iconic comedy mainstay, his enduring friendship with fellow comedy titan Dana Carvey, and what happened when he crossed paths with Arnold Schwarzenegger after years of mocking him in Hans & Frans sketches.

Great stories and laughs with some great characters

I absolutely love the style of the podcast. Mr. Anka and Mr. Bronson, despite their own successes, are quite curious about the guests they have on their show. Provides for some great stories and an easy conversational format. Thank you!

Policeman Ensuring Paul Anka Crosses Street Safely

I grew up in Ottawa, Canada and my father was a policeman. One of the stories I heard as a young child was that dad walked Paul Anka across the street (I believe after school, ensuring kids crossed the street safely). Since my dad was a good singer in his own right and played Mr. Anka’s music in our house I came to love his music.

We’ll, my dad died at the young age of 45 when I was 12. Since I moved to California, had a career in education as a teacher, Principal, and Counselor. I just lost my mother to dementia. For about two years prior to her passing I would go for daily walks with her and play ‘Mom’s Memory’ favorite songs playlist. It included three by Paul Anka: Having My Baby, Times of Your Life, and Memories Are Made of This.

This history brought me to Our Way podcast. Though I am only 61, I feel connected and incredibly interested in the stories and guests. It is a time period rich in history. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be the fly on the wall. As a side note, I especially appreciate Steve Wynn who shares the same RP eye condition that I have.

Bless your time and your relationships. My dad would have loved Our Way.
