Ever since he discovered Herobear and the Kid at the San Diego Comic Con back in 1999 (!), Kristian has loved Kunkel’s work and considered Herobear to be one of his favorite comic books. Now, as a special holiday treat, Mike finally sits down with Kristian to talk all things Herobear and the Kid! They chat about how Scott Morse and Image Comics inspired him to create his own comic book, why he decided to illustrate it in an “animation pencil test” style, the persistence it took to keep making the book on his own, and the recent announcement that Papercutz will begin publishing the series next year!
