Perry Johnson is a post-doctoral fellow at The University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School for Communications. She previously got her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School, and her research focuses on music, popular culture, power, identity, and belonging. She is the co-host of the Soundig Off podcast and co-creator (along with interviewee Dr. Courtney Cox!) of "The Sound of Victory" project, which dives into the relationship between sports, music, and American history.
