As he grew to become a serial entrepreneur, Mas Aldi linked up with college friend Nadiem Makarim to start GOPAY, where he became a local hero who revolutionized Indonesia's financial technology industry. Chaya: Building and Empowering a Culture of Sustainability

"If you're not learning anything new, that is the recipe to feeling stuck." Chaya Sabina is not your ordinary high school graduate. Having joined Bye Bye Plastic Bags (BBPB) from an early age, she has always adopted a culture of environmental sustainability in her day-to-day lifestyle. In fact, as she became the leader of Jakarta's BBPB branch, it became her goal to not only spread the word around about sustainability, but also empower others to challenge themselves in making a difference. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, as someone who frequently bakes for her friends, she decided to start her own cookie business, Wabi Sabi Cookies. While it has seen tremendous success selling cookies, Chaya makes sure that it is a commitment to always use eco-friendly packaging. In this episode, we talk about the balance between profit and sustainability, overcoming fear of failure, and what youth empowerment means to Chaya. Shoutout to Aziza for helping me co-host this one! Natasha: The Gut Check of Novel Writing

"OMG do you have AC in Indonesia? How about malls?" When people overseas asked these questions about her home country, Natasha Sondakh was often disappointed. Aiming to introduce the world to the Indonesian culture, Natasha released her first ever contemporary fiction novel last April, She Smells of Turmeric. But that wasn't her only motivation in writing. As someone who was struggling with her identity and sense of belonging, writing this book was also a therapeutic process for her to be more confident about who she was and where she was from.
