Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Be Simply Fit

    • Education

Some stress is a good thing; too much though can cause anxiety, depression, fear, and worry. Those who have experienced abuse, neglect, and violence may have trouble getting a grip on reality, and their thoughts. When those thoughts of the past plague a person they may be experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

People with PTSD have intense, disturbing thoughts and feelings related to their experience that last long after the traumatic event has ended. They may relive the event through flashbacks or nightmares; they may feel sadness, fear or anger; and they may feel detached or estranged from other people. People with PTSD may avoid situations or people that remind them of the traumatic event, and they may have strong negative reactions to something as ordinary as a loud noise or an accidental touch.

This episode of Anti Bullying 101 covers some of my experience with PTSD and should help the listener understand the condition. Because I take this condition so seriously I have started another podcast called Trauma Stories. This podcast is designed to provide my listeners with a platform to share their stories either through email or by being a guest on the show. My goal is to provide a platform for those with PTSD to be heard and share their story of healing. My hope is to provide faith, support, and hope.
