STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, and it has been used as a popular acronym in advocacy for an increase in STEAM education in schools. The intent is to increase creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, and flexibility.
"Let's Go Full STEAM Ahead!" is an initiative to promote STEAM education and engagement to empower the next generation of STEAM leaders. We visit classrooms, camps, and college campuses to show that the Arts and the Sciences are not pitted against each other, they are infinitely and intrinsically related. We highlight influential women who have been innovators in STEAM fields (check out our book!), not only to show how what they've accomplished, but also to show the next generation what they are capable of.
