The immediate former host did a better job with this podcast. Back then, the podcast covered economy policy and economic metrics. Today, the current host has an irrational hatred of Baby Boomers and spends all his time talking about how great Gen X is. Millennials don’t care.

Changing this to a short form podcast that doesn’t delve into issues with important facts and stakeholders removes every factor that made this podcast stand apart.
I'll keep listening and give it a chance, but my first experience was a disappointment.

I see a run of five stars, so maybe I'm an outlier, but my first experience with Politico Money was a disappointment. I'm sure Ben you are taking time thinking about this, and it's certainly a hard balance, but I found the level of presentation as half-pregnant, with say the possibility of making entertaining, clever, and even provocative statements on one possible side of the spectrum (and in this regard I thought Victoria Guida was perhaps pulling her punches about what is really driving Trump's attack on Jay Powell, dare say the stock market went down and a short-term thinking POTUS was simply looking for a scapegoat?) and say (as Ben said "maybe we should do a show on it") explaining the yield curve as possibly being on the other. I suggest you choose a side, because right now for me you're delivering milquetoast. History says that the Fed and the demands of politics is in constant clash, and I'd say that's quite interesting, and quite relevant to the present situation, and could have made for quite an interesting whole show subject. Maybe take a page out of the since discontinued Freak Out and Carry On where historian Heather Cox Richardson put things incredibly interestingly in historical perspective, while admittedly both were freaking out about POTUS, which whether you always agreed with them or not at the least showed their passion. Interesting and Politico worthy would be doing something investigative about what it must be like to be POTUS' Treasury Secretary, which I would assume would include talking about Gary Cohn's challenges, and noting that both Mnuchin and Cohn are products of Goldman Sachs, which is a source of perpetual drama and impact and passionate good old fashioned calumny. Also, sorry but I thought Ben and Victoria you don't click. There was not funny supposedly repartee being passed, and I thought accompanied by fake laughs. And asking Victoria whether she enjoyed covering the Fed versus trade policy was a snoozer. Really people ask you that "all the time," Victoria? I do see Ben you got the Treasury Secretary and Larry Kudlow for interviews, so maybe I'm interested in either really learning something or hearing from the people in charge? I'll keep listening and give it a chance, though... I hope that these comments are helpful.
