Cristina’s love for food and movement is contagious.
12/10/2021
Cristina, herself an organizer and political strategist, is able to open a sometimes inaccessible movement to newcomers. Food isn’t used as a gimmick here but as a thread through our cultures and histories, and makes for a useful and fun vehicle to explore complex topics. Cristina’s background also gives her access not only to political movers who are notable but those who are up and coming with their hands in the mix of the next big revolution.
Informative podcasts

During the beginning of the pandemic, we were like a deer who is blinded by the car lights. We didn’t know how we were going to do the simple, ordinary things like buy groceries, go to school or work, if we were going to be evicted, etc. since it was all new to everyone. The first episode informs us how they managed to feed a million people/day in NYC. How were farmers getting their produce and meat to the people so it wouldn’t spoil? None of this was in the news. How did it affect the restaurant industry was in the 3rd podcast and it was very good. Interviewing a famous chef, Marcus Samuelson, and someone who worked as bartender/server, helps us realize how many people are affected when a restaurant had to close. It’s the behind-the-door worker also who gets things ready. In all I have enjoyed these podcasts and recommend them highly.
