Emergency Physician Approved
Like the hosts of this podcast, I’m an emergency physician. The first episode that I listened to was the review of the show “The Resident” pilot episode and I couldn’t stop laughing. I’ll confess that I’m a huge medical history nerd and this podcast is both fascinating and hysterically funny. Some of the skits do tend to be extremely goofy, but I overall enjoy it greatly, especially when non-EP Alba’s reactions are included, and it even serves as a useful review of arcane med school stuff (Giemsa stain? Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia?? I cannot say this without cracking up laughing) I must give it the highest praise you can hear from a surgeon: Strong work, guys.

The giggles in the Typhoid Mary episode…made me snort multiple times and laugh out loud to myself as per usual. You guys rule. Awesome show. Keep it coming, you are entertaining this hag of a ICU nurse!

I’m a PT, married to an internal medicine doctor, and am a total science geek and a total history nerd, so thought this podcast would be interesting. I couldn’t get past the first 10 minutes of two different episodes because of the inane, unserious discussions. The 20 or so minutes I made it through sounded like jaded docs yukking it up over beers. Nvm.
