    Introducing Dr. Harry J Thomas to Pop To The Loo ! Join Cass and Sarah in an insightful discussion with Dr. Thomas, an incredible Gastroenterologist who devotes his work to the IBD community.

    Join us in talking to the incredible Harry J Thomas, M.D. a gastroenterologist currently based in Austin, Texas. We sat down with Dr. Thomas and discussed everything IBD related including treatment plans, COVID-19, accessibility of treatment, advice around attending appointments with clinicians, and the current research and development within the IBD world. He is an extremely forward thinking and open-minded clinician, who is incredibly warm, compassionate and empathetic. We absolutely loved speaking with Dr Thomas and really hope you enjoy this episode. Dr. Thomas received his bachelor's degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, a medical degree from the University of Oxford and his masters degree in public health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Dr Thomas After serving as a house officer in the U.K. National Health Service, he completed his internship and residency in medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, both in Boston. He moved to Austin in 2014 and practiced at Baylor Scott & White where he was an assistant professor of medicine at Texas A&M prior to joining Austin Gastroenterology. His clinical interests are inflammatory bowel diseases and he has served as Site Principal Investigator for multiple phase I-IV clinical trials in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Thomas serves on the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Austin Leadership Board and is Chair of the Austin Mission Committee. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of People’s Community Clinic, a federally qualified health center in Austin.
