    On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett debuts his new podcast with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson called The Sports Pit.  The three worked together at KJR with Sandy and Stretch spending many years on the morning show with Mitch Levy.  The three friends cover everything from Stretch getting a new hip, degenerate gambling, our love for baseball, made up sports debate, love for Climate Pledge, Sonics return, cost of an expansion team, Sandy’s disdain for podcasts and “ball know it alls.”  Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” On the eve of the baseball season, Puck says tomorrow is one of the best days in the sports calendar.  (0:00) Puck opens up the show and promotes his new podcast, The Sports Pit  (7:27 ) Stretch is rubbing some type of cream over his body and details his upcoming hip surgery.     Tuesday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett starts off the show teasing a brand new podcast that debuts on Wednesday called The Sportspit that features past KJR hosts and longtime friends, Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson.  Puck plays a five minute teaser clip of the show.  The full podcast comes out on Wednesday and initially will be available to all, but eventually you’ll need to join Puck’s Posse to get full access to the podcast.  Puck welcomed his weekly guests, Danny Kelly of The Ringer to discuss the lead up to the NFL draft, Seahawks adding to their wide receiver “Lunch Pail” group, no offensive line movement, Cam Ward going # 1, difficulty of drafting a quarterback and what Seattle does at 18.   After Danny departs, John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com drops by to discuss breaking news at Stanford with new GM Andrew Luck firing football coach Troy Taylor.  Plus, is college basketball in danger of losing its March Madness and how much is NIL truly factoring in?  Some universities are feeling the financial pressure of the new look college athletics and are dropping down in divisions in order not to pay their athletes.
