So you'll notice that I don't call it bad posture because there is I don't think we need to call it bad and good posture. It's either strong or it's weak because posture is in reference to the alignment of your spine and the natural neutral s curvature of your spine.

    00;02;13;22 - 00;02;35;22Speaker 2However, in our modern life, which is a direct contributor to this week posture that we're talking about, we spend a lot of time sitting down and a lot of that time is engaged with something in front of us. So usually that's some sort of device, whether it's a phone, a tablet, a laptop, a desktop, a car, a fork, a spoon, what have you.

    00;02;35;24 - 00;03;02;29Speaker 2We tend to spend a lot of time sitting, which causes hip flexion compression in the lower back. It can cause numbness in the legs and feet. It tends to cause a rounding of the shoulders and a forward head posture, all of which fall in the category of a weak posture. And what we posture doesn't just refer to when we're sitting, because it translates to your standing posture as you're moving your dancing, everything.

And if you factor in the many possible lives, if you are in alignment with this belief that your soul has had over the course of your soul's timeline, or maybe the infinite number of views that could be living on parallel timelines, according to quantum physics, there is a potential million billions of billions of you in the world.

You have re expressed and realigned and recreated so many of your cells. You're trillions of cells over and over and over to become the version of you that you are right now.

Of course, in a way that really honors not just the journey that you've been on, because that has allowed you to become the version of you that you are now, but really honors the full expression of yourself by really learning to celebrate yourself for who you are.

Well, you may have guessed it.Yes.Yes.Yes.Because they have made a massive difference in my life and in the lives of many of my clients and my community because of the way that they allow you to set the tone for the entire day.To do it first.And by it, I mean, take care of the most important tasks that you have.Which is to take care of yourself.The most important meeting that you have every day is the one that you have with yourself, but for some reason, It's often ones that we push to the end of the to do list that we knock right off the schedule for the day when there's a lot going on.That's actually one of the mistakes, so I'm not gonna ruin that.But the reason that I know this is because for many periods of my life, when I have been so dedicated to my morning routine showing up.Even if it's just a few minutes, sometimes it's longer, sometimes it's hours.Right? I love it so much.I love to look 0 your rate in it when I can, but sometimes I don't have that time.And so in those times, I just feel so myself.I feel lit up.I feel lying.I feel powerful.I feel unstoppable.And I just I know that it affects everything in my life.Contrast that with the days when I don't do it, and I feel chaotic.I feel scattered.I feel like I'm frantic and frazzled and on the verge of a freak out, which as you've been listening for a while, you know, is the Hallmark calling card of the worn out wom

    You are far more powerful than you give yourself credit for.That is one of my favorite things and something I like to remind you of because it's something that I was very much reminded of recently when I got the opportunity to learn how to bend this once flat stainless steel spoon with my might.I want to tell you that story because it's a good one.But I really am excited about the five key lessons that I took from it that I know will be really helpful for you as well, especially when you're navigating a stressful situation like being in a launch or in a promotion or in a challenging moment because the truth is that you are far more powerful than you give yourself credit for because sometimes we cut ourselves off from that power by doing certain things that I'm going to talk about today.So let me take you into the moment there.I was at an incredible business conference for a program that I've been part of called Business By Design for three years and I've never got to go to the BBD Live.So Business by design BBD.OK.In case I refer to it as that I will.I've never been to BBD Live because they haven't run it in a few years because of the pandemic.So I was so excited to go 900 people.That's a lot of people.I've never been in a room with 900 people before.I don't know if you have, but I certainly haven't.And it was so powerful.There's a lot of strategy taught for sure.But James Wemo, who's the leader of the program and his partner, Jenny Finley are very much about, of course, the strategic action steps, but very much about the inner alignment, the inner awareness and truly the inner power that each of us have that is essential to take the action and do the things from, right? The being doing, the doing is equally if not more important than the actions that are being done because the energy that you're doing them in, right is one of the principles that they really lean into.So we talked a lot about how to reclaim our personal power from past events, right? We've all had those experiences when something happened that really kind of took a little bit of our energy.Our focus maybe disappointed us.Maybe we made a story about us, right? Maybe you had these really high hopes for a launch and it just didn't get there.Maybe you achieved, you know, close to your goals or nowhere, nowhere close, maybe no one signed up or whatever it is and you felt defeated and you felt a little bit of your kind of spark dwindle, right? And so what we did was really learn how to go back as the most powerful version of yourself, guided, supported and loved into these moments and reclaim your personal power.So that was the first meditation that we did.We gathered all of this.And so for me when I was doing it, it was really incredible because I could feel and I could sidetrack to a different story.But I believe that there is a channel that runs up the center of each of us that connects to the go

    I came for the yoga booty, and I stayed for the inner peace.Yep.I said it.I came to the yoga practice the physical nature of it.I like the challenge.I like the intensity of it.I like how I felt after.And although I could hold the poses, you know, with some wiggling and wobbling and obviously learning and practice.It was challenging for me to hold my mind steady, and that became the real challenge of the practice is the inner work And one of the masters that brought yoga from India over to the west, BKS Iyengar.You maybe have heard of Iyengar yoga.He's the creator of that.He said that yoga doesn't just change the way we look at things.It changes the one who sees.So it literally changes us at the deepest level.And so if you find yourself in a period of wiggling and wobbling right now, like maybe you've experienced when you're doing yoga and you're standing on one foot and you're like, woah.And you forget that you're on a rock hurtling through space and you're you know, why you can't seem to hold still and everyone else in the class looks like a pristine elegant statue and you're like, well, what is happening? If you find yourself in that, whether literally on the yoga mat, which, of course, it'll be applicable for that, but maybe in a time in your life when you're going through a transition, a transformation, an upheaval, maybe a breakup, a loss, grieving, maybe, you know, recovering from a disappointment, maybe shifting gears in your in your relationship, in your business, what have you.I wanted to share some of the teachings from the yoga practice that you maybe have turn heard, you know, outright from your teacher if they include these deeper love to the practice beyond the Asana or the physical, or maybe you've inadvertently heard them, or maybe you've heard me share them if we've done yoga together, or maybe you read it in my book.Maybe, you know, who knows?
