Great writing advice from an author who knows, loves, and has analyzed the greats of scifi, fantasy, and more. Very inspiring and knowledgable. Love it.
Appreciate this podcast.

Especially the latest episode on historical accuracy. (My current WIP takes place in 1860’s TN & KY based on a true story.) Thanks for the explanation between slurs & everyday speech of those who are raised in a different time & culture. I’ve been listening for years & love the banter between J Daniel & Kitty. (They remind me of my husband & I.) The advice is straightforward & helpful. So much so, I can hardly think of a question to ask that they’ve not covered. I hope there’s another NaNoWriMo series this year. I have “won” a few times, but I liked how no-pressure they were with those who struggled to “win” & helped them set realistic goals. Keep it up guys. <3 Love the podcast.

the best podcast about craft I have found. I don’t always agree with the host, and aesthetically the podcast can be off puttingly “nerdy” but this is a small price to pay for his relentlessly practical and relentlessly sincere perspective on story, career, and managing one’s own psychology as a writer—in a field otherwise crowded with craft discussions that are aesthetically much “cooler” but which are comparatively superficial, disingenuous, didactic, or so afraid of seeming didactic that they say nothing helpful at all
