Needs a second season!
lol, I just went through this a second time after David Cross mentioned it on HIS podcast, but it’s quite fascinating listening years later. I had forgotten about all those right wing trolls, who loomed so large in 2016. I’m also surprised that it’s only been four years for TikTok to go from new upstart to possibly outlawed in the US.
But how has the TikTok algorithm affected folks’ perception of reality? How has it played into global events? Where are all the Q acolytes now? The world needs a season 2!
So good!
Cross said he listened to this and Serial. I really got a kick out of listening to this. Was so relieved to learn that Caleb didn’t turn into a school shooter. YouTube lady is very helpful to hear from. The reporting in this is very well done. Will be looking forward to whatever you guys do next.
Loved it!
I listened to this after David Cross gave it a shoutout on his podcast (Senses Working Overtime) and said it’s one of the only podcasts he’s ever listened to, and he enjoyed it. Decided to listen based on that, and so glad I did! Fascinating, excellent reporting, and a good look at how far we’ve come (or regressed) because of the Internet.
