Radio Free Denton is a comedy skit show in the tradition of The National Lampoon Radio Hour or the classic Bob and Ray radio shows. Hosted/Written/Produced by Bone Doggie (yes…that’s a thing), Rache Ann and Ken Weiner, and broadcast from the semi-mythical town of Denton Texas.

The Quarantine Meeting
During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns, the Radio Free Denton Crew, Ken, Rache Ann, Polly, Cat, Carrek, Bone Doggie are joined by Emma, and are all sequestered in the RFD Headquarters, formally known as the ‘Old Grimaldi Hotel Building’. In order to maintain proper social distancing…even in the same building…our gang of podcasters attempt an online internet meeting via Zoom in order to discuss possible ways to sally forth into the long overdue Season Three …Hey…it seemed like a good idea at the time…

Something’s Wrong with Rachel

Something’s Wrong with Polly
The plot thickens in ”The Revenge of the Attack of the Body Snatching Lizard People!” as Cat, Emma, Ken and Carrek take possession of an abandoned spaceship and an old Ford F150…while Lizard Leader Rache Ann takes possession of Polly and the Radio Station. Also, the origins of the Mysterious Swedish Vegan Women and the Lizard People and their Evil Plot for World Domination are FINALLY revealed…along with Pirates at an Employment Agency and Working from Home…WOW!!!

Something’s Wrong at the Studio
”The Revenge of the Attack of the Body Snatching Lizard People!” continues as Cat, Emma, Ken and Carrek head back to town with the stolen Spaceship and Truck…and discovers the remains of Rachels’ first victim…the Lizard Polly takes over the studio as the Lizard Rache Ann tries to turn Bone Doggie but discovers Lizard People don’t like Whiskey…And Carrek discovers Space Weed…Dude!

Something’s Wrong with Ken
More madness ensues from our feature series ”The Revenge of the Attack of the Body Snatching Lizard People!”…as Cat, Emma, Ken, and Carrek, park the spaceship they found on the courthouse lawn in the middle of the Denton town square….While Lizard Rache Ann and Lizard Polly seal up Bone Doggie in his basement apartment, take over the studio, and try to turn all the rest of the RFD gang into Lizard People…and also TECHNOBABBLE!!! What more???

I like how there are several different segments. And a continuous storyline with the skits. Always keeps me laughing and entertained while I’m doing other things. I don’t usually listen to podcasts but this is definitely one I will keep up with.
