The wild temperature swings we had this past winter have taken a toll on Southwest Michigan fruit crops.

The grand opening has been held for Corewell Health's new Corewell Health Center for Wellness in Benton Harbor. 

Coming this Saturday will be a Spring Makers Market in Benton Harbor.

Molly Verseput of South Haven Softball is our latest WSJM Sports Player of the Week.

The Rams went 4-0 for the week with Molly not only pitching in, but won all four of the games. 

The Rams swept a doubleheader with Coloma 5-4 and 9-3.  Then the Rams swept Berrien Springs 6-0 and 14-0.

Molly had 43 strikeouts in the 27 innings she pitched, going 4-0 with 2 shutouts.  While on the field, she had a perfect fielding percentage.

At the plate, Molly batted .367, with a double and 6 RBI for the number 5 hitter in the order.

Molly also plays Volleyball and Basketball at South Haven,   She is a junior, a member of the National Honor Society and has a 4.0 GPA.

Justin Verlander dominates the Tigers at Comerica as Houston beats Detroit 9-3.  Tigers back home to face Miami tonight at 6:40, 6:15 pregame on WSJM.
White Sox blanked by Cleveland 7-0, Sox host Nationals tonight at 7:40.
Cubs beat Pittsburgh 5-4 in 10.  Cubs travel to Atlanta tonight at 7:20.
Pacers beat Knicks 121-89 to tie series at 2-2.  Denver evens series with Minnesota after dropping games 1 and 2 at home.   
Atlanta wins NBA Draft Lottery.  Will pick Number 1.  Pistons big losers again, despite worst record in the NBA, Detroit will pick 5th for the 2nd straight year.
Florida scores 2 goals in the 3rd period to beat Boston 3-2, lead series 3-1.  Vancouver over Edmonton 4-3, to take 2-1 series lead.
Lake Michigan College wins District Softball Tournament, will play in National Tournament in South Carolina next week
