When Jessica Lynn Reale was 13-years-old, she was timid and untrusting. In early October of 1997, she mustered the courage to approach her 8th grade math teacher, a woman she’d only known for a number of weeks, to tell her a huge secret she had been keeping. Jessica told her teacher that she couldn’t go back home because someone had poured bleach all over her. This situation warranted a CPS report, but the involvement of the FBI or Sacramento County Law Enforcement was unexpected.

Best Crime Podcast

This podcast is the best and only true crime I’ve been able to tolerate. I love all of the gory details, 9-1-1 calls, evidence, court recordings and more! It’s definitely creepy and gets your heart pounding at times and a lot of other times makes you wonder why people are such monsters. I love how Mike will inform us about laws (or lack thereof...ahem, Canada), so it puts things into perspective. Even better is Mike’s extremely dry humor and input at just the right time! I find myself laughing (yes I know, this is a murder podcast, but you’re morbid too or else you wouldn’t be here). This definitely keeps me looking over my shoulder on my early morning runs while listening. Keep it up!

One of my favorites.

Specifically, episode 175 was one of the most powerful podcasts I’ve ever heard. An amazing story perfectly told. Thank you.
