Rumors, Secrets, and Lies with Brian Marteeny

Old friend Brian Marteeny stopped by the studio with every intention of having a light and topical conversation. He probably expected to talk about politics, the weather, traffic, and The Bachelor. But he forgot that this is Ramble by the River. We don't talk about politics unless we are exposing corruption at the highest level. We don't talk about the weather unless it is in reference to the impending global catastrophe. Traffic?! How about self-driving autonomous automobiles? And we just don't cover The Bachelor; it is for morons.
    Tune in and buckle up!

Its Really Not About The Cookie with Hillary Andersson

Real Estate agent and Certified Nurse's Assistant Hillary Andersson stops by to chat about the frothy housing market, and while she is at it, she talks about her upbringing in rural Idaho, her escape to Southern California, and her eventual landing in Astoria, Oregon.
Jeff's chaotic hosting style is displayed front-and-center throughout most of this episode as he makes his way through the conversation. You will hear several classic Nesbitt stories like the time he got tricked by a scammer on his birthday or the time that he almost paid an extraordinary price for stopping to look at an extraordinary pile of poop.

Comedian, actor, best-selling author, and podcaster Alex Falcone joins me for an upbeat conversation about comedy, pop-culture, and what it means to be a modern man in 2022.
We get to hear about Alex’s upbringing, the discovery of stand-up, some of his biggest successes to date (Portlandia, The Late Show with Steven Colbert, stand-up tours), and we get his valuable incites on finding your funny bone and learning what is funny by trial-and-error.
    But first…
    Top stories of the week:
-Russian batteries made from hog weeds.
-Nobel Prize awarded to Physicists for research which suggests that reality is not “real” (quantum non-locality).
-Flashback Report: 2006. MySpace mishap. Jeff Gets Expelled from High School.
    More to enjoy:
—How a simple misunderstanding almost changed Jeff’s life forever.
    —#MeToo. Where are they now?
—Why did everyone want to bang sexy monsters in the 2011?
—How Alex became a best-selling author of a teen romance novel.
    - And finally, the gloves come off when Alex expresses his feelings regarding the life and works of Justin Bieber. One thing is for certain, I Belieb.
This episode is special. I love comedy and comics. Just being around the comedy scene gets my motors running. It was an honor to hang with such a pro.
Big thank you to Alex Falcone for being a wonderful guest and a huge thank you to Melissa Nesbitt for booking him.

A wonderful pod that makes me feel great about being alive!

Dana_Monson ,

I finally figured it out!

JEFF! I have been trying to figure out HOW to leave you a review, (I wasn't an Apple user, but I now have an IPad, and you can just chalk it up to the fact that I am a member of your Old Farts Club I guess)! I am probably also one of your biggest fans.

I thorougly enjoyed Season One, (though I was a little bit late to the party), and just listened to Episode 2 Season 2, and as usual, I loved it. I always learn something, and also find that I see myself relating in some way to your guests and also to you. You are just a smidge younger than my only child, my Sunshine, my daughter, Stephanie. This podcast also helps me relate better to her, her husband, and her peers... many of whom grew up in my home, and also raised me to be a better human as well. And, the crypto talks! Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this! I have started my own research and am learning a lot!

I grew up at the Beach. I cherish my memories and the friendships made there. I cherish the lessons I learned there. And, your podcast.... well, It somehow all just brings it all home to me, and always brings a smile to my face. I am even better human because of it. Thank you. I sincerely mean that.

I wish you much success and happiness in all you do in life. You make the world a better place. Please let me know how I can support you better. And, thanks for the awesome T-SHIRT.

To anyone who has read this far, do yourself a favor, and sign up to be part of the Ram Fam! You won't regret it.

~Dana
