Reach, Recruit, and Retain Adult Learners

Higher Ed Conversations

Episode 7: “Historically, higher education institutions have viewed students through a simple lens - traditional students enrolling in college straight out of high school or older students entering later in life. The simple truth is that students are changing, and colleges must also change to serve and market better."

These true words were written by Daniel Ramirez, director of public relations and marketing at South Texas College. Ramirez recently completed a major capstone project and earned his master's degree in digital and social media management. His research focused on how colleges can reach, recruit, and retain adult learners.

In this episode, Daniel discusses his research and shares how colleges can better tailor their messages and marketing tactics for adult learners. He also discusses proven retention tactics and research projects that can help your institution reach adult learners during recruitment, while they are students, and well into the future.
