I just listened to this podcast with Jess Schamberger of Goodwill and it was TERRIFIC!! I learned so much about Goodwill, their mission and all of the services they provide to help such a diverse group of people who are sometimes unfairly overlooked in the workplace. Finding suitable work for their clients is clearly Jess Schamberger’s passion. Their newest project about the soy vegetable oil processing plant being run in Coralville is so huge. It will have such far reaching benefits and not only help the Goodwill employees and the community but will benefit people in other parts of the world. The story about a possible Goodwill “Outlet” store opening in the future, where items they had trouble selling are then bundled together and sold by the pound is genius. She said the more they are able to sell, the fewer items will end up in the landfill. Nate Kaeding is an iconic figure in Iowa and he’s perfectly suited for this podcast platform. He’s so personable, has a great voice. His questions are thoughtful and you can tell he does his research. He seems like such a great man and I know he’s revered in the Iowa City area. This is a great podcast and extremely informative! You’ll love it and learn a lot!
