Nathan is informative, curious, and comes to the exercise with enthusiasm. Micheal is honest and open to parsing the verse… and we come to understand the language, the imagery and baked-in ideas along with both of them. Sadly though… Michael’s vocal cadences border on the sing-song-y; he colors his tones with an “actor-y” preciousness that’s insufferable. Not a single ‘curtain line’ (grave, declarative, confident) was spoken by this famous actor. He appears too busy enjoying the sound of himself and his grace notes.
