    Lost for Words

    Lost for Words

What is it that takes our breathe away? The right words at the right time. What to say, when and how? We seem to be at times lost for words.

Why does this happen? Do we have a mental block within our consciousness preventing us from accessing the language memories in our brain? Or do words come from a higher state of subconsciousness? I believe a bit of both.

Online Dating: How to Lose a Guy in 5 seconds

Online Dating: How to Lose a Guy in 5 seconds

Online Dating: How to Lose a Guy in 5 seconds.  Where is Mr Right? That’s the question on the minds of millions of single women. Where does one go these days to find good guys or Mr Right? Honesty on the dating apps is hard to come by, but it’s there, you can’t give up and think negative.

Times have changed, well that depends on who you ask and what generation they are from, but for the most part, you are not going to find Mr Right at the local Grocery store. Those were the simple good old days. Nowadays, the place to be to see men is online dating apps.

Some of the most popular ones: Tinder, Bumble, Match all sort of are doing the same thing, giving you an index of men, according to your preferences or so-called ‘Shopping List.’ So what’s going on within these apps, and how come single women are still finding it hard to meet Mr Right?

I took the liberty to test out these apps in the hope to find my Ms Right. So there I was one night on my couch signing up for Tinder. Of course, their gonna make the guys pay and not the women! So after selecting a few photos, writing a brief summary about me, which I always find it really tricky, but I like honesty, so I laid out who I was and do what I do best, pen down a few words together that make sense in the heads of people that read it, hoping I’ll get an honest reaction. And then, I started swiping left, and right, and it soon began to feel like a meat market. The first thing that stood out to me was the way the women looked. So let’s start with that.

    Profile Filters

One way to lose a guy fast is to have ‘Snapchat’ filters on your profile photo, when you’re 30+, 40+ or in fact any age. It’s cartoonish, and I don’t get what exactly women are trying to say here with filters on their face, of a tongue, rabbit ears, etc. I immediately felt a massive level of insecurity in those women, trying to find their partner for an LTR. There are times and places for these ‘Snap Filters,’ like for example with your kids, close friends on your personal Facebook account, and again, those Snap Filters are only shown to your close family and friends. Not to the world. But here we are, in the ‘Real World’ with a massive level of an identity crisis of women not wanting to show their real face on a dating app.

    Close Up Photos

Super close up photos of your face. Again, I don’t know if women are having a hard time holding their large phones, or losing their coordination, or they just don’t check how they take selfies. But close photos of your eyeballs, or eyeball, nose or lips, or body parts only show me that you are having issues.  And I usually swipe left fast.

    Multiple Girls In Pictures

Posting photos that have multiple girls in each picture. Last I checked, Men weren’t psychic, if they were, I wouldn’t be writing this article. I know women are thinking, let’s show men that we have friends, lots and lots of them, and show them that we are not lonely, and have an active social life. Come on ladies, just be you, don’t be insecure and keep it simple.  Post a photo of just yourself.

    Texting

Texting till the end of time. Pen pals. Men are not looking for text mates. And women who are really wanting to take it slow, are telling men, we are not ready and still recovering from our past, so be patient with us! Sorry ladies,
