Releasing What Doesn’t Serve You

From the Ground to the Crown

Hey friend, hey!

In this episode of From the Ground to the Crown Podcast, I, Kenisha B., introduce you to the segment Root and Rise, where we dig deep into a truth, a thought, or a question that has shaped our perspective and work our way to a higher, crown-level understanding.

Here, I’m sharing a personal journey, one that started with a choice and led to a deeper lesson in discernment, intuition, and releasing what doesn’t serve me.

This episode’s Affirmation:

DISCERNING:  “I use discernment and intuition to make the best choices.”

I faced resistance from friends and family. They had a lot to say. Some out of concern, some out of judgment. It left me feeling confused for a moment, but then I realized that their words were just suggestions. I had the power to decide which ones to accept and which ones to let go of. That’s when I created my suggestion box– a space where I collect opinions, sit with them, and ultimately decide what aligns with me.

Through this experience, I learned:

Discernment is key—  not every judgment is personal, and not every opinion needs to be carried.

Intuition is our guide— it helps us separate what’s meant for us from what’s not.

Love can be hidden in critique— sometimes, even when people don’t understand our choices, their words come from a place of care.

If you’ve ever felt down by the opinions of others, this episode is for you. Let’s talk about how to release what isn’t yours to carry and walk in the freedom of your truth.
