    61. Domestic Violence Awareness Month: DV During the Pandemic

    61. Domestic Violence Awareness Month: DV During the Pandemic

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. I really wanted to highlight domestic abuse during 2020 and what the protocol has been during this time and more.
Also, I wanted to bring awareness to the signs of domestic violence.
We all need to be educated and aware of the signs. It's not always recognizable that you or someone you love could be in an abusive relationship since it’s not always physical.

Here is a link that has every domestic abuse hotline number in every country! Please call one of these numbers if you or someone you know needs help:

    60. The Smurl Family Haunting: Real Life Source of the Movie, The Haunted

    60. The Smurl Family Haunting: Real Life Source of the Movie, The Haunted

Picture it: West Pittston, Pennsylvania, 1973. Janet and Jack Smurl move their family into a house on Chase Street. By the family’s accounts, what they experienced during their time living there was something out of your worst reveries. The paranormal activity was so insane that they called on Ed and Lorraine Warren to come investigate the home. However, there are doubts in people’s minds about this whole story. Find out why. It’s up to you to decide what you believe.

Side note: One thing I forgot to mention is that Jack Smurl passed away in 2017 at the age of 75. He lost a long battle with diabetes.

    58. The Murder of Emmett Till

Emmett was barely a teenager when he left Chicago, with a cousin, for the summer to visit relatives in Money, Mississippi. Emmett was a prankster and happy go lucky. When he playfully whistled at a woman, who was a white grocery store cashier, it would change his life and his family’s forever.

    57. Special Bonus: Talking with the cast of 1BR

    57. Special Bonus: Talking with the cast of 1BR

Today’s episode is different than usual and the best way to kick off spooky season a little early! Sitting down with the 1BR producer - Alok Mishra, Clayton Hoff (Lester), and Naomi Grossman (Janice). You may know her as Pepper from American Horror Story but she does an amazing job playing Janice in this movie!

((SORRY CLAY! I called you “Hoffman” in the intro!! Lol))

HUGE SPOILERS IN THIS EPISODE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Kick back, enjoy the laughs, information on the movie and what’s next for 1BR?! Or is there anything next at all? Is there a sequel? Will we be left to our imaginations of what happens to Sarah’s character?

All of these questions and more will be answered!

Amazing Insight

Paige has a great show. She has the perfect voice for this kind of podcast, sweet and compassionate...no matter how horrific the story, her voice holds you against the worst of the atrocities. She is the one of the few True Crime podcasts my 11 year old daughter listens to. I simply cannot say enough about how good a show this is. She researches things amazingly well and she can connect to the victims with her amazing insight which allows her to connect you with the victims too. Definitely worth a listen and after the first, you WILL be hooked.

The Detestable and the Damned ,

Everything I ever wanted

It’s clear how far this host has come in her production and writing. I’m so glad to have found this show! It’s the perfect length, she has a variety of topics, and it’s clear she’s done her research!

Great Content. Perfect Length

Paige has a delightful voice and great content; she obviously does deep research on her topics; and the episodes are in perfect bite-size length. She doesn’t go on and on with tangents or anything boring.
