Love this show

I was sceptical about the premise because I didn’t know if it would be funny, uninformed, or if they would take themselves too seriously. It is funny. It’s more informed than they think it is. And they don’t take themselves too seriously. I love the dynamic between them, and I love that Peter has amazing English and mocks Sebastian’s still very good English. I love that they do just enough research to say true things but then I also love it when the speculate about things and are so wrong. I don’t love the chewing during those odd times that they review food because the noises are just awful, but I still listen anyway because I love to hear their reactions. I am an American who hasn’t lived in America since the George W Bush administration, so there’s very little chance of offending me, but honestly....if you are offended, I wonder if you have listened. They aren’t rude or aggressive, they are just two very funny, sometimes sarcastic Norwegian guys basically proving to us that even casual observers of America outside of America know a whole heck of a lot about it. Overall, a really fun, light hearted podcast with two really likeable hosts. Someone give these guys a TV show. Or maybe a documentary about Sebastian trying to get a record deal and Peter being his manager, but you can’t quite tell if it’s satire or real? I’d watch.

An examination of small mindedness

Listen each week as two edgy man children review a cartoon of America that exists only in their own heads. Anytime they encounter something that doesn’t fit into their minuscule view of the US they declare it “unamerican”, as it’s impossible that maybe a country of hundreds of millions of people has a bit more nuance than what they think. We thought the Information Age would bring humanity together, but instead the simpletons use it to look for information that only supports their tiny parochial view of the world.
