Sweetness in my ears, from a marathoner
I took up serious running three years ago and while I was preparing for my first marathon my husband kept telling me to run the race exactly as I did on any other long run, so I hoarded a few episodes of the progrum and had the animal news and guffaws and great interviews in my ears the entire way. I felt like I had my best friends alongside me, encouraging me as I worked through the pain. You’ve been with me for 4 marathons so far, and number 5 is coming up in June. Thanks for the lightness in what seems a lot of darkness right now! (PS it can be embarrassing to burst out laughing in the gym but sometimes I just can’t help it. The banana pool never fails to entertain.)
