Eliana Johnson and Chris Stirewalt love the news business but they hate a lot of what’s happening to it these days. Using their decades of experience in print, digital and TV news they tell the story behind the stories, always on the lookout for bias, sloppy reporting and, well, just plain wretched journalism. Every week they help you to be a better, smarter news consumer.

Quickly Became a Favorite

Decided to check this podcast out simply because I always thought Stirewalt was a straight shooter on FoxNews. I don’t have time to listen to all the podcasts to which I subscribe and figured this would be one of my “back-ups” for when I actually got through all my favorites (Ben Shapiro and Megyn Kelly, at least). To my surprise, this quickly became one of my favorite podcasts. I’m not in the media but tend to like the inside-the-media shows and this one does a great job at giving the inside story.

Why didn’t Ben Smith decide to publish the ultimate truth about the origins of the dossier…rationalizes printing as unverified. Have verified source ultimately and don’t mention. It was all Hillary.

Wonderful!

I was so happy to find Chris Stirewalt on another excellent podcast! I have followed his trajectory and was so happy that he landed at the Dispatch! He and Eliana are a marvelous team-humor, insight, and honest commentary runneth over! Since seeing a comment in the Dispatch about the podcast “Ink Stained Wretches,” I have binge listened to catch up! It is like having two great friends sitting next to me! Plus, Holy Crokano… I get to learn amazing vocabulary!
