The 2019 season of the CGA-IGC podcast series, Expert Approach to Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancers, will focus on the management of extra-colonic features of Familial Adenomatous Polyposis, or FAP. FAP is an inherited condition that is primarily characterized by the development of many colon polyps and an increased risk for colon cancer, but there are other aspects of FAP that are also important to be aware of and manage appropriately.
The sixth and final episode features Kristin Zajo, a genetic counselor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus Ohio. In this episode, we focus on children and young adults with FAP and special considerations regarding management and transitioning from pediatric to adult care.
