S9 E10 - Larry Vogel on Collaboration of an artist and AI

My guest on this episode takes a strong stance on the role of AI in the arts. For some artists, his point of view may seem controversial and it already got him into trouble. Listen to my interview with photographer and digital artist Larry Vogel and let me know in the comments where you stand on this topic!

S9 E8 - Erik Abel on growing as an artist, on his commercial success and personal revelations

I am a huge fan of Erik Abel's art! His style is absolutely unique and his whirlwind of career is a dream for any visual artist out there. I asked Erik to tell his story and was surprised to hear his thoughts on what it means to be a "successful artist" and why he is not sharing his new art project with the public.

S9 E7: Bea Gold on Writing, Illustrating and Publishing Her Second Memoir "Shopping With Mama"

Bea Gold, a 97-year-old working artist, writer, and a great friend of mine, invited me to be a part of the exciting project. She wrote and illustrated her second memoir and asked me to help her with designing, publishing, and promoting it. How could I say no?

In this episode, Bea and I share our experience as amateurs in the book publishing world and talk about her inspiration and the process of creating this book.

Newish listener but Love it!

I listen to a LOT of podcasts. What I find so refreshing and fun about this one (granted I’m still binging the episodes) is that there are real, down to earth artists on as guests. Each one has had such an individual story but is so real and grounded. There is no right way to be an artist and hearing these stories gives all of us hope to live life and make art on our terms. Galina is approachable and genuinely interested in helping artists share their stories for everyone’s benefit. The artist gains some awareness and everyone else gains from hearing their insight. Keep up the great work!
