We live in a world in which people want to understand how things work. There are entire television shows devoted to the understand understanding of this part of the human psyche. And we humans want to understand how college works too. As such, I really appreciate what Elliot Felix has done with this podcast to help students find their place, their people, and their path as they explore and undertake post-secondary education. I was thrilled to be a guest on this show, alongside my book co-author, not long after the release of our book, “Commencement: The Beginning of a New Era in Higher Education.” During the interview, we explored the challenges and opportunities of being a college student when you are also a parent — such an important topic in an era in which the non-traditional adult student is the new traditional student. Elliot asked great questions and gave us the latitude to have a really accessible and insightful conversation. I’m thrilled to see the show becoming more popular and producing a large volume of content for its eager listeners. The show’s mission to support student success is clear at every turn. I highly recommend this podcast.
