Summer Rewind Series: Anchor in the Outcome
Welcome to the summer rewind series where we revisit some of our favorite episodes. This week, we're revisiting one of our most popular episodes, Episode 63 "Anchor in the Outcome." Although this episode originially aired near the beginning of the Covid crisis, it's a timely reminder for us now as we prepare for the new school year. We have no idea what we'll be facing in the fall and perhaps you're feeling just a little anxious as you make plans. This episode reminds you that you can make your school crisis-proof and navigate your staff and students through any challenges you might face if you anchor in the outcome #LikeABuilder.
Summer Reading List 2021
This year's list is a little different. I just didn't read that many great books this year. But I did manage to discover 3 non-education books that I think you should be reading this summer and I'm sharing 4 other books that are on MY summer reading list. Hopefully you'll discover at least one book that will help you step into next fall #LikeABuilder.

Can Assistant Principals Be Builders?
One of the questions I get asked the most comes from assistant principals. They love the idea of Buildership but worry that they can't be a Builder in their current roles. So, on today's episode, I'm going to tackle that question and offer some suggestions for how you can still be a Builder even if you work for a boss, or a leader. So tune in today to discover how AP's can approach their work #LikeABuilder
Is there ever a time you just need to be a boss?
One of the questions I get asked often is this: Is there ever a time when you just need to be a boss? So, on today's episode, we're going to explore that question along with various situations where being a boss might feel like the only option. Plus, we'll look at the short-term and long-term effects of going "boss-mode" and consider those against the short-term and long-term benefits of always approaching your work #LikeABuilder.
Every day is a PD day!
While a commute to work can seem like a time waster, my daily commute has been one filled with learning and growth. Each of Robyn’s podcasts are filled with valuable, actionable ideas to grow our practice as we work toward the shared goal of doing our best for every student, every day! Thank you, Robyn, for living your purpose and sharing your expertise!
I tried to listen to these podcasts, and I want to learn and grow more in these topics. However, she is constantly promoting her builder’s lab. I feel like I’m listening to marketing efforts more than I’m actually growing within these topics.
Content great! Promoting summer builders lab...too much.
Great content that is relevant to my leadership experience. This podcast causes me to think critically and apply what is taught to practice. Please stop continually promoting builders lab. I would be more engaged and listen more if this wasn’t constantly brought up for extended amounts of time.
