REACTION: Seahawks select Texas DT Byron Murphy II with 16th pick

Seahawks out of money? Current status of their 2024 and 2025 salary cap, and what they can do to fix it
The budget has gotten tight for GM John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks. With less than $2 million in available salary cap space this year, and not much more than that looking ahead to 2025 either, some major decisions will need to be made in the coming days and months. In fact, they'll need to adjust some contracts or jettison a few players just to sign any players taken in this weekend's NFL draft!
Should fans be concerned?
Who better to break it all down than Curtis Allen, who does such a fantastic job analyzing this (among other things) for Rob Staton's Seahawks Draft Blog.
Curtis will update us on the Seahawks payroll situation, and provide some answers as to just how they can manage it all this year and next.

Being a big time Seahawks fan, live in Kansas and this podcast gives me all of the details. When I’m working I’m learning about prospects… different types of ideology that people have. Love the Cooper DeJean idea as-well if we trade down… just amazing man!
