The Lakers are smartly remaining patient on their next head coach
Anthony discusses the fallout from Mike Budenholzer and what he knows about that situation, then allows that to serve as a backdrop for how the Lakers are handling their search for a head coach. All roads currently leads back to Tyronn Lue, and until they get clarity on that situation, they aren't likely to make an official hire. This leads to a rare sentiment: Anthoyn agreeing with their approach.

Lakers 'miss out on' Mike Budenholzer; what comes next?
FULL EP.: To start, Anthony discusses the Suns hiring Mike Budenholzer and the Hornets hiring Charles Lee and how the Lakers' approach to finding a coach has "cost" them two viable candidates. He shocks the world, though, by not holding this against the Lakers, as they await their clear-cut top preference. He discusses what he's heard on that front, plus their options if Ty Lue isn't available. He then dives into an insanely full mailbag.

What impact does the Suns firing Frank Vogel have on the Lakers' coaching search?
The Lakers were still doing their homework on potential candidates as one potential target (Charles Lee) was hired. Then, the Phoenix Suns fired Frank Vogel, and moved into a competitive position with the Lakers for another target. Anthony and Aaron discuss that, the Lakers' coaching search in broader terms, and the playoffs thus far.

Great podcast
I’ve been following your podcasts since 2020 and I love your podcasts. I think it’s awesome how honest you are and share your emotions through your words well. The sarcastic Harrison, raj, and Aaron are all have different takes and I think it’s great getting different perspectives. Keep it going
Lakers Mailbag
Hi Anthony,
I am glad that your passion has turned into a career that you are able to support your family.
I really appreciate that you are now giving us the options to listen to the podcast in full or in parts. Is it possible to denote in the title which episodes are a breakdown of a larger pod? As much as I love your unique style/personality, I do prefer only listening once to the long form podcast.
Also, what restrictions do you face as a Laker’s Insider? Is it similar to the restrictions on what can be said that Pete/Mike Trudell face on the Lakers Film Room podcast?
