Season 1 | Ep 3 | Anthony's story

Homelessness Matters

In episode 3 of Homelessness Matters, you’ll hear from Anthony at Emmaus Glasgow. Before joining Emmaus in 2013, Anthony was struggling with rent payments, moving constantly and was unable to lead a stable life. Through Emmaus, Anthony has received the support and stability he needs to get back on his feet and is now a regular volunteer at the community’s soup kitchen, which supports people experiencing homelessness. Then you’ll hear from Angela Quinn, a Support Worker at Emmaus Glasgow, who describes the difference she has seen in Anthony since he joined Emmaus.

Homelessness Matters is a brand new podcast brought to you by Emmaus. Homelessness can happen for many different reasons and to people from all walks of life. To shine a light on some of those reasons, we’re bringing you a mixture of stories from people who have experienced homelessness and now live at one of 30 communities across the UK run by our charity Emmaus.
