    About this episode
    We understand the struggle wives often have with their body image and how it affects their sexuality. Today we want to revisit this topic to discuss how we can finally embrace our bodies and get comfortable being naked with our husbands.

    Why is having a positive body image such a challenge for women? What can we do to combat messages that make us feel worse about ourselves? Do we have any responsibility to take care of our bodies? Despite how we feel about ourselves, most husbands find their wives beautiful. But what about the wife whose husband criticizes her appearance? What advice from your own journey would you give to help a wife embrace a positive body image?

    rom the Bible
    What does God have to say about body image?

    For you created my inmost being;
        you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
        your works are wonderful,
        I know that full well.
    Psalm 139:13-14

    About this episode
    Today we’re talking about something that most women are thinking about at this time of year — taking better care of our health. If you’re like us, you’re probably thinking about getting in shape, eating a healthier diet, getting more sleep, or losing some weight over the next few months.

    And your reasons, like ours, are probably pretty straightforward — you want to look better. You want to feel better. You want to have more energy. And you want to avoid getting sick.

    But there’s a bonus reason for taking care of your health that you may not know about — improving your sex life.

    So let’s talk about some of the ways that good health can lead to better sex and intimacy in your marriage.

    From the Bible What does God have to say about this?
    "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies," 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

    What does God have to say about higher desire wives?

    “The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife” (1 Corinthians 7:3-4). “Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9). “Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the vines have budded, if their blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates are in bloom— there I will give you my love” (Song of Songs 7:12). “All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him. I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares; I will search for the one my heart loves” (Song of Songs 3:1-2). Resources

    Simplify Summer for Better Sex

    Simplify Summer for Better Sex

    About this episode
    In summertime, the living is supposed to be easy, but we often find it just as stressful and scheduled as the rest of the year is. In this episode we talk about simplifying your summer in ways that can improve your sex life.

    From the Bible
    Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 4:6

    So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun. Ecclesiastes 8:15

Mentors every woman needs

This podcast has been so helpful. If you’re quiet and reserved like me and don’t have a group of women to comfortably talk to about sex and marriage issues, you need to listen. I’ve not only learned so much but I’ve also been able to become more comfortable with my sexuality and more willing to explore it. I hate to think of where I would still be if I hadn’t started listening.

Mostly good except….

For being a “Christian” podcast, they certainly aren’t shy about bashing churches.

So helpful!

WOW! I had no idea what to expect going into marriage. Growing up in the church I got a lot of wrong information. Hearing these Christian women openly discuss sex has helped my marriage become so much healthier. Growing up I heard sex is bad, dirty and sinful. Going into marriage with that view was very harmful. I wish I had found this podcast before marriage, but I didn't so now I am thankful I have it now to help me view sex in the way God designed it and to have healthy views and conversations about sex. Thank you Bonnie, Jay, Gaye, and Chris.
