#318: Why Are We Afraid to Touch?

#318: Why Are We Afraid to Touch?

Let’s face it: As Christians, we’re kind of afraid to touch.  Touch feels unsafe and sexual --even worldly-- and we can be led to believe that the more boundaries we put in place, the "better off" we'll all be.  Except, well … Jesus touched.  And He allowed others to touch Him: A prostitute washed His feet and dried it with her hair. He used His hands to rub mud on blind eyes. He invited Thomas to place his fingers in the nail holes in His palms. Is it time to re-think the way we view touch?

#316: Sorry Mom & Dad, the "Sex Talk" Doesn't Work

The one-and-done "sex talk" doesn't work, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to your kids about sex. When it comes to sexuality, your kids are growing up in a completely different world than you did. You probably won't find much success in just telling them what to think about sexuality; you're going to have to show them HOW to think about it. Sound hard? It is. Need help and encouragement? #313: The Greatest Love Story

From beginning to end the Bible tells a story about marriage. Woven through chapter and verse is a story of covenant love between Jesus (the bridegroom) and the Church (his bride). And it is so important to your Father that you understand this story, that he etched it right into your body (your sexuality). Join Juli and her guest Christopher West for a conversation about how our bodies proclaim the love and redemption of Jesus.

Refreshing truths

Juli faithfully tackles difficult issues with grace and love, pointing consistently to the Gospel. She gets to the WHY of these hard topics, not merely the behavioral prescriptions that many Christians are unfortunately so used to hearing. I love hearing the testimonies of her guests, as well. Thank you, Juli and co!

This is great even for singles!

As a single I used to think sexuality was something I didn’t have to think about. Juli has brought a wonderful Biblical perspective and I have grown so much as I see how my sexually is important now even as a single woman!
