Motherhood isn’t for everyone

Monique, you really touched my heart on the Motherhood isn’t for everyone. Thank you for speaking on this. Motherhood isn’t for everyone. It’s hard work. Thank you for acknowledging those who want children and can’t have them too. The episode truly touched my heart in so many ways. I’ve encountered people asking me about having children before we did and then asking when we’d have more once we had one. A child free life is just as fulfilling as a life with children, maybe even more in some ways.
Hate speech
13/10/2023
This woman thinks that if you are black then you don’t have to take responsibility for spreading hate. She thinks black people are the only ones who receive hate or criticism. It is hard to listen to someone who lacks empathy for everyone but herself. Also it’s weird that she espouses how oppressed she is as a black person in America when she openly lives in Spain. Such a fraud and grifter
Honest and authentic

I found the episode about friendship and what true friendship looks like for your black friends when you’re a white person really honest, authentic, and helpful. I really appreciate Monique’s vulnerability and not shying away from these topics.
Good for your mind body and soul

This podcast is beautiful, informative, and healing. Monique provides tools and vocabulary for her listeners to do both internal and external work to pursue Black liberation. Monique expresses such a deep care for humanity and you will deepen your connection with your own humanity by listening. I cannot recommend this podcast enough to anyone looking to begin, or continue, their anti-racist journey and journey to build healthy relationships.
